Arrest Made In Connection With Young Dolph Shooting

Corey McClendon Charged With Attempted Murder

An associate of Yo Gotti, Corey McClendon, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with the shooting of rapper, Young Dolph. Det. Meghan Aguilar, a spokeswoman for the LAPD, confirmed that McClendon was booked early Wednesday (9/27/17) and is currently being held on a $1 million bail. She also stated that investigators are still looking for two other men who are believed to have been involved in the fight/shooting with Young Dolph. 

The altercation took place Tuesday afternoon (9/26/17) in Hollywood between Young Dolph and three men in the valet area of the Loews Hollywood hotel. "The argument between Young Dolph and the men escalated to a physical fight, and he fell to the ground. One of the men then pulled out a gun and started shooting." Aguilar said. "Young Dolph was struck but was able to get up and run into a local business."

Young Dolph was taken to a local hospital and is currently listed as critical but in stable condtion from a gunshot wound. Dolph's official DJ, DJ Rock Steddy, posted on his Instagram page, "Thank you for your prayers, calls, and concerns. Just know we gucci like LaFlare. Dolph got the best fans in the world!
