Ayanah Johnson is a resident of Spartanburg, SC and a passionate first year teacher. She attended Winthrop University where she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and worked to receive her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education which she received in May of 2019. After graduation, she moved back to her hometown to teach at her former middle school, Fairforest Middle School, where she currently teaches sixth grade science. Ayanah loves her students and loves being able to make a difference in their lives as much as she possibly can. 

In the fall of 2019, Ayanah was nominated and won FSI’s Teacher of the Week for Week 9.​ When she’s not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and watching football.​
